Curriculum

The nursery school program is modeled after  developmentally appropriate practices as set forth by the NAEYC. We lay the educational foundation for future success by providing a strong sense of self and an enthusiasm for learning.
Daily specials include, Music, Gym, Swimming, Language and Culture, Library, and Creative Movement, and are taught by area specialists.
Each child's development is supported by our team of professional teachers as they progress from Toddlers, to Three Year Olds, to Pre-K, and on to our full day academic Kindergarten.  Classroom teachers are trained in the Pre School Handwriting Without Tears Program, use Yoga for classroom management, and are mandated to provide daily outdoor curriculum in our Outdoor Classroom.  The curriculum is rich in nature, science, art, and cooking experiences.
We seek to impart a strong sense of belonging by providing opportunities for children to share their heritage.  By celebrating holidays and life cycle events throughout the year, participating in community service and environmental projects, and by encouraging social skills through clear modeling, the children develop a rich school community and create positive memories.
